The first of December saw thousands of pedestrians making their way to Wimbledon to join in the festive fun at Wimbledon’s Winter Wonderland, hosted for the first time by Love Wimbledon.
Part of the Broadway was closed to make way for the impressive event which included a rodeo reindeer, a Christmas pudding bouncy castle and a giant snow globe which proved to be a popular photo opportunity for families. Performers dressed up as penguins kept everyone entertained whilst fairies and elves on stilts were walking and cycling around for all to see. The roads were also lined with market stalls selling all sorts of Christmas trinkets and food goodies!
Merry music provided by Merton Music Foundation, the Rock Choir, New Wimbledon Theatre and Morden Primary School, kept the streets full of festive cheer! A guest appearance from Flawless kept the crowd entertained further.
The day rounded off with some spectacular fireworks and a few glasses of mulled cider. A big congratulations and thank you to all at Love Wimbledon for making the day a huge success!
Amanda graduated from Brunel University, with a joint honours degree, achieving a BSC and BA degree in Leisure Management and Television and film studies. Amanda started her career in a customer service role before joining the hotel group Le Meridien as an Events coordinator, she was in the hotel industry for seven years and during her time won an award from a major international airline for her outstanding attitude and dedication to customer service, which she achieved while working for the Rezidor hotel group in the position of Airline Crew Manager. Amanda has over 20 years experience in customer relations and event management.
