Edward Wisniewski Smith, one of WSMs very own Chartered Accountants has been awarded a highly valued prize by the ICAEW Croydon for the highest performing student in a small firm.
The prize is awarded to the leading candidate in the Croydon area who achieves the highest marks in a number of categories in the advanced stage examinations over the annual sittings in the year up to November 2018. The award was presented to Edward by the Croydon president Andrew McKenzie-Smart at the ICAEW Presidents reception which took place on the 14th March.
There were four prizewinners overall, ‘highest marks across the board in Croydon’, highest in a large firm’, ‘highest in an industry firm’, and ‘highest in a small firm’. Edward said he achieved his award by “copious study time and a very limited social life during exam season”.

Amanda graduated from Brunel University, with a joint honours degree, achieving a BSC and BA degree in Leisure Management and Television and film studies. Amanda started her career in a customer service role before joining the hotel group Le Meridien as an Events coordinator, she was in the hotel industry for seven years and during her time won an award from a major international airline for her outstanding attitude and dedication to customer service, which she achieved while working for the Rezidor hotel group in the position of Airline Crew Manager. Amanda has over 20 years experience in customer relations and event management.
