EuropeFides General Meeting

EuropeFides is the dynamic and growing European association of business professionals including accountants, tax advisors, lawyers and auditors, who provide WSM and our clients with access to first class professional service firms across the continent and now also in China.

Simon Marsh was elected as President of EuropeFides for 2014 and recently oversaw the highly successful biannual General Meeting held in the Milan. Simon was joined by Annie Lee and Ben Lee from WSM and over fifty professionals from across Europe at the weekend event hosted by a local EuropeFides member firm, LTH Partners.

EuropeFides members were joined at the General Meeting by firms recently accepted into the association from Belgium, China, Spain and the UK, along with firms seeking membership from Austria, Italy, Poland, Turkey and Singapore.

The weekend was a packed programme of informative seminars and networking events. The seminars covered topics on many European jurisdictions from Corporate and Private Client Taxation to Intellectual Property Law and operating in the Global Supply Chain.

There were also plenty of opportunities for the members from across Europe and China to meet at planned receptions and events which included a guided tour of the city renowned for its fashion and culture as well as its financial pedigree. One of the highlights of the tour were the views from the top of the beautiful Milan Duomo, although for many the start of the summer fashion sales in shops across the city and the World Cup results for Germany and Netherlands were close seconds!
