On Thursday and Friday last week, Wendy Patterson and Kayley Hackshaw attended the Business Start up Show at Kensington Olympia, to be a part of the ICAEW Business Advice Services (BAS) Stand.
The BAS promotes services available from Chartered Accountants and demonstrates their commitment to supporting SMEs by offering an initial consultation, free of charge. WSM represented the BAS for the Institute, as well as being on hand to answer any technical questions that business-start-ups were likely to pose.
The stand was in a prime location close to the main doors, meaning that Thursday and Friday were both incredibly busy! Each day we juggled a number of business starters in addition to several youths from Rugby who were setting up their own businesses as part of a school project. It was a great experience advising the youngsters on how to start and manage a business and their finances; they will be the clients of the future, after all.
If you are in the early stages of setting up a business and would like a free consultation, please email Kayley Hackshaw or Wendy Patterson or call our office on 020 8545 7600.
