WSM ventured into the Surrey countryside for this year's summer event and spent a gloriously warm day learning how to heard ducks and geese; drive 6-wheel all terrain vehicles down precipitous hills and into streams; shoot clays with 12 and 20 bore shotguns and hone their archery skills onto targets at 75ft… an Olympic effort from the whole team.
The competitive edge really came out in the finale – a human table football competition where the teams battled for supremacy whilst tied to rigid poles straddling the pitch – just who was in control of the spinning legs was a complete mystery – but the rewards came in the form of chilled liquid refreshments over a finely cooked barbeque with a nightcap back in the Slug. Well done Stebbs. A worthy winning team on the day.
Amanda graduated from Brunel University, with a joint honours degree, achieving a BSC and BA degree in Leisure Management and Television and film studies. Amanda started her career in a customer service role before joining the hotel group Le Meridien as an Events coordinator, she was in the hotel industry for seven years and during her time won an award from a major international airline for her outstanding attitude and dedication to customer service, which she achieved while working for the Rezidor hotel group in the position of Airline Crew Manager. Amanda has over 20 years experience in customer relations and event management.
