Government support on Covid-19 Job Support Scheme (JSS) – Postponed

 

The Job Support Scheme (JSS) is intended to assist businesses retain their employees in the face of reduced business activity resulting from the effects of Covid-19. The JSS was due to come into effect on 1 November following the initially scheduled end date for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (“CJRS”) flexible furlough scheme, The JSS was intended to operate for an initial period of six months subject to review at the end of January.

The JSS has been postponed following the decision by the government to extend the CJRS until the end of March 2021.
