During 2012 WSM participated in numerous fundraising events to raise a fantastic £13,830 for a variety of deserving causes. This total included £2,352 for Great Ormond Street Hospital our nominated charity for 2012, £920 for Cancer Research and several donations to small local charities.

Throughout the year we have had yoga sessions, foot spas, Shine Night walks, fun runs, bake sales and finally a mulled wine and mince pies party with a very successful raffle. Thank you very much to all of those who have supported us in our fundraising as well as those who have initiated and organised the events.

Every day GOSH helps hundreds of children whose illness is so critical it cannot be treated anywhere else. They have some of the best paediatric surgeons in the world and they’re constantly researching new life-changing treatments and cures. Many of the team here at WSM have great personal appreciation for the work GOSH does. Nelly Brown’s daughter Richelle, Shakeel Butt’s son Adil, and Lucy Bower’s daughter Hannah have all been treated by the hospital. The support GOSH has given to these families has been outstanding and we are delighted that we have been able to give something back.

We’re thrilled with our fundraising total for 2012 but we’ve got lots more planned still to come!
