The Merton Business Awards were a highlight for the borough’s business calendar year in 2011, and saw many businesses and business professionals being rewarded and acknowledged for their outstanding service, skills and expertise in their industry sectors.
WSM takes great pride and enjoyment in supporting a project that celebrates the best businesses within our community, and we’re delighted to continue as title sponsors of the Merton Business Awards in 2012 and aim to help make this years awards even better!
A drinks reception was held on the 28th February, for the winners of the 2011 Awards. Tribute was again given to the successes of the winners, and attendees heard from Chief executive of South London Business, Peter Pledger, Diana Sterk of the Merton Chamber of Commerce, Elliott Wood from Business of the Year, Elliott Wood Partnership and our very own, Simon Marsh.
The winners of 2011 Merton Business Awards are automatically entered into the 2012, South London Business Awards; A truly exciting opportunity, for the best of Merton Business to represent our borough at such a prestigious awards competition.
The awards are open to all businesses based in the borough of Merton and will recognise enterprising, innovative and aspiring firms and individuals.
Results will be announced in front of an audience of up to 300 local businessmen and women at the Business Awards Gala Dinner on September 26th, at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The Entry deadline for the Merton Business Awards 2012, is the 15th June.

Amanda graduated from Brunel University, with a joint honours degree, achieving a BSC and BA degree in Leisure Management and Television and film studies. Amanda started her career in a customer service role before joining the hotel group Le Meridien as an Events coordinator, she was in the hotel industry for seven years and during her time won an award from a major international airline for her outstanding attitude and dedication to customer service, which she achieved while working for the Rezidor hotel group in the position of Airline Crew Manager. Amanda has over 20 years experience in customer relations and event management.
