Wimbledon Common Half Marathon

The Wombles were out on the Common last Sunday morning, as some dedicated people, including Hollie Lancaster, dragged themselves out of bed early to run the Wimbledon Common Half Marathon.

‘My husband and I ran the Wimbledon Common Half Marathon on last Sunday, in aid of fantastic local charity, STEM4. It was a bright and dry morning, although very muddy underfoot, but I still managed to knock 12 minutes off my previous time which I’m very pleased with. Mostly down to my running partner's encouragement!

Lots of people came out to support the runners along the route, including Orinoco the Womble! Thanks to everyone for the continued sponsorship!’

A massive well done to Hollie and her partner Phil Lancaster, who managed to run it in a great time of 2h 24.

For more information on STEM4 please visit their website: www.stem4.org.uk and if you would like to donate, please visit our Virgin Giving page. Any sponsorship is greatly appreciated!

High fives from the Orinoco the Womble!
