Staff Additions at WSM
With the addition of four new members of staff and the annual return of Tax Consultant, Elizabeth Worth, October and November have been busy at WSM!
In October, the team at WSM welcomed Jessica White, an Accounts and Marketing Intern; Louisa Edwardes, an Accounts Assistant and Kathryn Herbert, a Client Manager and in November, Harry Edwards, an Accounts Intern. Elizabeth Worth, a Tax Consultant, has also made her annual return to WSM; her help enables the smooth running of WSM’s services during the winter tax return rush.
After sitting A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, Jessica decided to take a gap year in order to investigate potential career paths. Having previously been set on becoming a vet, after 14 various work experience placements, she realised it was not what she wanted. With Maths being one of Jessica’s strengths, she thought accountancy may suit her and so joined WSM as an intern for six months in September 2013. The dual purpose internship has been ideal for Jessica as she is not only gaining valuable experience in accounts work but also in marketing.
Prior to joining WSM, Harry graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Economics and Management. He has previous experience working for a hedge fund advisory firm as an analyst in Hong Kong as well as internships in fund management and commercial property investment in London. Harry will spend three months as an accounts intern, after which he hopes to progress to a training contract in 2014.
Louisa graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in Economics. At University, she was a valued member of the Lacrosse team and represented the University at many competitive matches throughout her time there. Louisa has pursued her interest in finance by joining WSM initially as an accounts assistant and hopes to start a training course in the near future to become ACA qualified.
Kathryn became ACA qualified in 1993 and has 20 years experience as a Chartered Accountant. She provides a wide range of services to a portfolio of private clients and a small number of corporate clients. Kathryn aims to deliver a personal and efficient service that is tailored to each client's individual needs. Outside of work she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
Additionally, we are looking forward to the arrival of Sharon Redfern in January 2014. Sharon is a qualified Chartered Accountant and will take on the role of Client Manager.
