Mulled Wine and Mince Pie Charity Evening
Since it is nearly Christmas, it seemed only fitting to have a mulled wine and mince pie party for our last charity event of 2013.
Shortly after 5:30pm on Thursday 12th December, WSM’s foyer was overflowing with professionals from a wide range of businesses who had come to support Rainbow Trust at our mulled wine and mince pie charity evening. Not dissimilar to Santa’s elves, members of the WSM team had been busy throughout the previous night, baking a variety of festive treats including, mince pies, cherry bakewell cupcakes and a gingerbread sleigh and reindeer! In addition, our office kitchen had been stocked up with red and white wine and orange juice, during the week, ready to be transformed into delicious mulled wine.
Throughout the evening, we sold raffle tickets to be in with a chance of winning each of our 5 prizes. Congratulations to Shane English of WSM who won the Fortnum & Mason Chocolates and Champagne Box; Laura Bolt of Morrisons who won dinner for two at The Terrace, Wimbledon; Angeline McGeary of who won a £20 Tibits voucher; Hannah Trevelyan of Sacred Heart High School who won Spirited Wines’ finest prosecco; and Kai Jones of Levison Meltzer Pigott who won a £10 Pret A Manger voucher! Furthermore, congratulations to Sophie Hutchinson of Paton Walsh Laundy who won an Elys voucher in our best Christmas jumper competition!
All together, we raised a grand total of £379!
