Merton Best Business Awards: Meet the Judges

On a balmy June evening, Cannizaro House saw around 50 local business people descend for the Meet The Judges event, held to promote the upcoming business awards.  The evening was mainly an opportunity for the local companies to network with the judges who were wearing bight ‘I’m a Judge!’ badges, and find out what sort of things a good entry requires.

We were all seated for several speeches from the sponsors and hosts; Diana Sterck from Merton Chamber of Commerce, Stephen Alambritis from Merton Council and of course, Simon Marsh from WSM.  The speeches were followed by a presentation by Events and PR with some top tips of what to include in an ideal application, showing us a short video with judges from previous awards telling us exactly what they look for.

WSM, as headline sponsor, are providing 2 judges: Andrew Bithray and Ben Lee, both of whom are partial to bribes if you fancy buying them a drink next time you see them on the network circle!

The event was inspiring and motivating to those looking to enter, the awards deadline of 27th June is not far off so if you are interested in entering do not delay!
