Be a judge they said. Get on stage they said. Get kitted out in a judges outfit and wig… they failed to mention. Last Thursday myself, along with four other innocent judges, were put up on stage in front of attendees of the 'Meet the Judges' event hosted by Taste Restaurant at South Thames College, to better help applicants entering the Merton Best Business Awards understand the judging process. The evening also presented a section of Q&A so that the judges could be put on the spot and quizzed about any such detail of the application process.
The event was well attended with over 40 people in attendance, relaxed by the wonderful food and drink in constant supply by the South Thames College students.

Amanda graduated from Brunel University, with a joint honours degree, achieving a BSC and BA degree in Leisure Management and Television and film studies. Amanda started her career in a customer service role before joining the hotel group Le Meridien as an Events coordinator, she was in the hotel industry for seven years and during her time won an award from a major international airline for her outstanding attitude and dedication to customer service, which she achieved while working for the Rezidor hotel group in the position of Airline Crew Manager. Amanda has over 20 years experience in customer relations and event management.
