An Evening of Networking: Merton Chamber’s AGM and Wimbledon YPG

Thursday evening was warm and pleasant, and the perfect way to spend it was at the beautiful setting of Cannizaro House on Wimbledon Common at the Merton Chamber of Commerce AGM.  It was also the perfect opportunity to promote the Merton Best Business Awards which will hopefully be bigger and better than before with a variety of award categories suitable for any company to enter.

The evening began with presentations from the directors Andrew Wakefield and Diana Sterck, followed by Damien from Events and PR who explained to the audience how the Merton Best Business Awards can benefit a business: the awards are free to enter and can provide a small company with invaluable media press and raise the profile of a company in the local area.  We then moved to the Orangery with fantastic views of the sun sinking over the landscaped gardens, for socialising and a fantastic BBQ buffet.

As the event clashed with the Wimbledon YPG, we made our way over to the Rose and Crown for an evening of magic and goodie bags, hosted by Peacock & Co Solicitors.  The garden was decorated with bunting and the tables were adorned with (more food!) cheese, meats, bread and other delicious nibbles.

A lovely and busy evening all round!
